Hi everyone,

I am just considering my options for being able to watch the 2021 season and it looks like they are:

Sky TV and sports package for £40pm

Now TV monthly pass for £34 pm

Now TV daily pass £10 (so £20 for a race weekend inc quali and no practice).

So it seems like the best value for money is the monthly pass option. I am not sure what I would get from the extra £7 a month to get full blown sky TV on top.

Am I missing any other options?

Thanks all

If you go for the full Sky subscription you can usually at the end of the term let it expire then renew at a much cheaper rate. This year I'm on sports+cinema for £30/mo including HD, but I'm not on SkyQ.

Now TV usually do an F1 'season ticket' offer. I paid ~£200 for 10 months Sky Sports (includes all Sky Sports channels) last year which was pretty decent.

That's what I used for the 2018/2019 seasons and it worked well enough. However just so you know the streaming quality of NowTV is pretty gash. It's 720p@30fps default but I think you can pay extra for 1080p

Aye, I think it's £3 or £4 per month for 1080p/60.

Don't forget any new customers I have Discount deals available in the Home Cinema section. Read the first post though and sadly I have nothing for existing customers.

A friend's non-uk CC and a VPN. That will work fine, as long as you don't want all race build up and fluff, as F1TV basically just does it from a studio somewhere as opposed to being out on the track. Commentary is the Sky feed.

Couldn't watch it in anything other than UHD now.

I can't watch anything in UHD, it makes things look fake and like a computer game IMO. When I've making videos in 4K I always have to add blur in post processing. With TV shows and Movies in 4k also you can see all their make-up and even the special effects like the pyrotechnics.

The cars look good, but you really need to see Horner's face in, every wrinkle and vein in such detail. Just be glad Bernie isn't still around. :p

Years of Sky F1 HD at 1080i on a 40" screen, I'm finally upgrading. Getting a 55" Sony XH95 Saturday and Sky Q on Wednesday :D

So I can see all the disappointments of F1 in UHD and all it's glory :p

If you are careful when you buy your now tv passes you can minimize the number you need to buy - this year has been really good for getting a lot of races from one pass.

Quite often when you cancel NowTV they offer you another 2 months at £20/month.

I just bought the monthly one yesterday to get 3 race weekends in a row plus Prem League games over Christmas. Happy days.

I don't often watch the CH4 broadcast but I do sometimes like to see their post race stuff as I like DC and MW but I don't mind Steve. He's good as the connector/layman person with the other experts. I still think DC, EJ and Jake Humphries was my favourite trio
