Basically what i'm trying to do is find the most efficient way to play downloaded content (eg 24 etc) on my tv. I had a couple of ideas but none of them seem to be perfect. My initial ideas were:

1. Copy the content onto dvd's using nero vision express and watching them through a dvd player. Didn't like that idea because I would need to keep loads of dvd's and it takes quite a while to author a dvd.

2. Get a media centre pc. That would cost too much seeing as i still want my desktop pc.

Any other ways this can be done?

Thanks

Well my graphics card has an s-video out, so I use that connected to a scart connector into the TV and voila! Sorted.

Doesn't do the sound though, but that's easy to sort out.

What do you mean get a media centre pc? it's no different to any other PC. Depending on your TV connections plug your PC into your TV add some playback software and hey presto it's a media centre PC.

Alternatively you can get a network player like the Snazio 1310/1350 which will playback content on your PC via wireless/ethernet to any display.

thanks for the help guys...would have connected the pc to the tv directly but they are quite a distance apart (approx 10m i'd say). I think i'l look up the network player...thanks again

Just go down to ****** or any other cable type shop and get an extended S-video cable in that case. It will work out cheaper than getting a network media player, or any other option really.

Works an absolute charm.
