So I'm getting a laptop, and am strongly drawn to the Acer 6920G 2.4Ghz.
In the specs I have been reading up on ( but not on overclockers strangely ), there is a hybrid TV Tuner and remote included with this.

My question is: are TV tuners on laptops actually any good? gimmick or actually useful?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

dont get a laptop based on this as with most u still need to plug an aerial in so u can just get a usb tv thing or a express card one for not very much money

its a cool thing to have for example if your out and about with no wifi around u can still find something to watch

I tried it with a computer a couple of years ago and found it to be a bit useless, the reception was very fussy and the signal had to be perfect. I wouldn't pick a laptop for the tv option, just pick up a usb tv card and then if it doesn't work you can probably return it.
