I have 2 computers on a home network, both with Windows Media MCE 2005, as well as an Xbox 360 on the same network.

The Xbox is added to the computer with a TV tuner. On the Xbox, if we load up the media centre we can select "my TV" we can watch TV that is coming from the TV tuner in the computer upstairs.

Is it possible to do with from computer->computer instead of computer->xbox which is what we are currently doing.

The idea is that I want to watch TV on the computer that doesn't have the TV tuner. Can this be done easily?

Thanks

You want Softsled. It hasn't been made yet. Maybe Vista SP1, but who knows.

The only way to do as you suggest is using something like Nebula DigiTV - but tbh, MCE is easier to use and does more. Or buy loads of hardware extenders/Xboxes.

No - as I said, the functionality you want was codenamed Softsled. They have yet to implement it, and it keeps getting pushed further back. Latest estimate is Vista SP1 - over a year away. And that's not even confirmed.

Which TV card do you have ?

My Winfast DTV1000T streams liveish (8 second delay) signals across the network. Using software v2.0.1.94
