hi, i am using distilled water only, but am wondering that if my tubes start to cloud up could i just add some antifreeze to my res, or will i have to clean the whole system?

thanks

If the tubes start to cloud up you will have to clean (flush) the whole system. Simply adding an additive will not clean it. You should be adding an additive if you have mixed metals or any of your loop is exposed to sunlight (algae). A few drops of Iodine would be sufficient to keep algae at bay if you don't have mixed metals.

Clean all parts throughly with vinegar, tubings should maybe be changed. After it's all cleaned add som pentosin or just normal blue anti freeze

worth noting to use alcohol free iodine.
Distilled water will giev you the best cooling potential. but at the risk of corrosion and alge growth ( as mentioned)

Zerex supercoolant ( 5% of it in your loop) is popular for kkeeping everythign at bay.

what does your loop consist of ?

well presuming yuor Maze 4 doesnt have an aluminium top, your cooking on gas !
if you have the maze 4 with the alu top... you must use an additive.
i would anyway. just for eace of mind more tan anything. but whether you choose to use one or not, please add a few drops of alcohol free iodine !... or it will haunt you ! lol

***EDIT***
1000th post !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol i am glad you got your 1000th post in my thread!! yeah i might do when i clean my loop, but tbh, i cant be bothered to at the moment.
