Water additive?

Is water additive really needed? Will it drop my temps at all? At the moment I'm just using plain distilled water.

If it does help which is the best one to go for?

Water additive is not made to drop temps, it made to stop stuff growing in your loop.

Ah, thought I read one that said it helped with heat transfer but at the time I did think it was a marketing gimmick, always best to ask though.

So I'll be fine with just plain distilled water?

You can drop temps with it in theory as there's some magical alcohol:water mix ratio that works better than plain water. But Irl there's really no point.

I don't know of any alcohols with better thermal properties than water

I heard milk works good, for first 2-3 days. Then erm well, you can guess what happans then
