Hi all
Going to build a Media PC soon and want it as Quiet as poss as it will be on 24/7 (and crunching), going to watercool everthing (going to get a Tt Symphony :D so load wont be a prob) and just have 1 very slow 120 fan stirring inside, Has anyone heard of a watercooled power supply or done their's, if you have done your own could you post pics ? or let me know any probs or things not to do!
Thanks

There wa sone in Micro mart ages and ages ago

Though i bleive the heat dump is a large one and a PA120.3 with 6 deltas pushing and pulling is needed

They are available on the continent but it's really unnecessary. A media PC won't make a PSU hot enough for its internal fan to do more than spin slowly and even crunching shouldn't if the rest of the system is watercooled. Any current 120mm fan-based PSU from Tagan or Seasonic (S12) will be inaudible. My own Tagan is silent as is my X-Pro in my two water-cooled systems.

I would agree. Without a power hungry system the PSU fan will run at its slowest setting and will be inaudible. I'd go Tagan probably.

quick google found some links more stuff around but not postable

for diy.... which i wouldnt recomend

Zalman is looking to expand its water cooling products, and even considering bringing out a water cooled power supply if it will pass European regulations.

There are a few fanless PSUs, which you could look at.

Almost silent - Top of the page

Completely silent - Bottom of the page

I haven't used any of these so you might want to speak to some one who has. I'd try and find out what they're like in systems with no case cooling / no fans.
Just trying to give you some more options :)

Thanks for that, the Zen noisless one looks promising, will have to do some research into it.
