I hear the 670 has ram chips on the other side of the card, is this true?
If so when water cooling do I really need to put ram sinks on all the ram chips or no? I plan on using just a simple GPU block. Anything else I need to know before I order?

Yeh it does have ram chips on the back but it is not any reason to worry, you will be fine with just a regular waterblock.

Reference 670's come with absolutely no vram cooling so I wouldn't worry too much, give it a bit of air flow and you'll be fine.

I've used the EK backplate on mine and it's only connected to the memory chips on the rear but it does get rather warm.

I've got MCW82 GPU only blocks and ramchips on everything else (stock mosfet cooler still in place), works great

for a full cover WB you could use a backplate to keep things pretty

What's the clearence like on the mcw82 with ramsinks on? I have been considering getting one to replace my mcw60 which is a bit tight and fidgety when fitting (and I dislike the tacky plastic on this old model). Otherwise I like the angled inlets of the ek supremacy.

I could splash out on some longer extensions. Ill have to give a think to whether aesthetically I want a full metal block or not. The plastic moulding doesn't look bad though and i am a bit of a swiftech fan.
