system i have

case haf 932
cpu Q6600
motherboard EVGA 780i 132-CK-NF78
Graphics card 9800 GX2

Budget is not important atm.

cpu block is a OCZ hypaflow and the graphics card.

For the Radiator i was thinking of a Black ice RS-1 360
also not sure if i should get a res/pump combo.

I am also not sure which block to get for the chipset so any advice on that would be great.

As for tubing i am going with 1/2 ID UV blue
fluid will be just normal distilled water with either PHN Nuke Silver Anti Algae KillCoils or could i use both?

The main questions i have are

1. Is the radiator a good 1 or is there better
2. What are the best fans to use with the rad i have picked
2. if i dont go with a res/pump combo what should i go for
3. would it be best to put a 2nd loop in for the ram mobo chipset and HDD

Hey, I have had a SR-1 for just over a week now and it does a brilliant job, keeps the temps nice and low with low fan speed. I have got sharkoon SE 2000 on a fan contoller running at about 600rpm but I hear the apaches are very good aswell. As for pump/res combo, I was advised against it I got the DDC 18W with a multioption res which is very good but if I was doing it avaunt there is a res top for them which saves some hassle. The d5 meant to be very good too. As for your last question I haven't got a clue sorry, will have to wait for someone cleverer than me to reply. Hope it helps

I'm guessing you mean the sr-1 series of rad? If so its a fantastic rad with possibly the best build quality of any rad on the market.

it's a low fin per inch (fpi) rad optimised for low rpm fans, not to say it doesn't scale with higher rpm fans. As it has such a low fpi you dont need masses of static pressure to push the air through the rad so a few yate loons are perfect and very cost effective at around £4 per fan. i use 140mm yate loons on my sr1 420 rad, i chose the d14sl model (slowest) and slow them from 1000rpm to an inaudiable 600rpm.

Pump wise i like the d5 vario, its quiet and has 5 speed settings, couple with a tube res like the ek multi res.

I wouldn't bother with ram, mobo or hdd watercooling it really is a waste of time and money. Only do it if you absolutely must for an aesthetic you want.

Thansk for the advice i have decided to get

the sr-1 triple rad

EK Multioption Reservoir X2 250 Advanced

Swiftech Laing D5 Vario

3xYATE LOON 120mm - D12SL-124UB UV-Blue with blue LEDs for the rad

Any advice on fittngs would be welcome i have thought about the compression fittings

as im using 1/2 tubing with compression fitting would be an idea to use i small size so the fitting is tight

Have a look at my build log if you havn't already, sounds similar to what you want to do. I used compressions and really like them.

good choices there ive got the same but a rx360 witch is also good for low speed fans. i have the slow yates also

i have come up with an idea for the fans on my rad but not 100% if it will work so i am still looking into it, but wanted to know what you guys think.

As i have a haf 932 and plan is to put the rad on the top, This would mean the 230mm fan would be take off from the top of the case.

my thought is instead of buying 3 fans could i use the 230mm fan i take off the top of the case instead of 3 fans on the rad.
