Hi all,

Im a bit new here and new to water cooling OC'ing.

I would like a bit of advice please to quiet the system i have down and also, generally keep the machine i have cooler than it is already. Problem i have is running BF3 full specs on my 2550x1440 res monitor, machine just freezes up and GPU gets a bit hot.

Setup is: 2700k running at 4.5Ghz
16gb Corsair ram
570 GTX Card with modified fan (this doesnt help my issue)
SSD M4 with a backup drive of 750gb. Standard
R2 Fractual Case with 2 upper fans (quiet) and 1 rear fan
750w modular PSU

What i am after is:
What do i need to get the CPU, GPU water cooled and reduce the amount of noise coming from the machine itself.

And any other advice to keep it from shutting off when playing BF3.. (only way i can play is with the side off)

Thanks and hello from Stokoe :)

I would say its probablly air flow thats the problem , the top 2 fans are they intake or exhaust the air ? Reading the reviews the case fans are built for low noise rather than air flow.

Cheers for that Micky.

I am pretty sure they are exhaust fans at the top.. But the GPU gets soo hot i am thinking about just getting the water cooling involved in the case.

i.e. on the GPU, CPU - any advice on kits which i could get from OC ?

Thanks again

you dont need water cooling to have a quiet system. My noctua air cooler is quieter than a h100 water cooler.

There are plenty of proper water cooling setups that will keep a cpu and gpu cool but they are expensive but they look cool.

What intake fans do you have? Rear and upper are all normally exhaust to keep the warm air going out back and up, normally you have some intake fans at the bottom/front to push air over your hdds mobo and GPU. My mums computer was heating up a lot recently, and freezing, it had loads of exhausts but only one 80mm intake, i stuck a 120mm in there today at the front and it cooled it right down.

Thanks a lot for the replies there people.. Will consider what I want and make a choice at the end of the month or something..

Appreciate it
