Ok i'm just waiting for my power supply to arrive, but lookin at my system i have decide to water cooling.

My resaon is the cpu cooler i bought ( Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro ) needed some of the fins bent to get it over the heat pipes on my ASUS m2n32-sli deluxe board. I've readed loads of reviews on this heat sink and it seems ***, but i'm not sure if it will be want i want.

Arrowed is where i had to bend 4 fins to get it to fit

I've got a Socket A water system, and wanting to cut off the block and stick on a AM2 block, but i'm not sure on what one to get. i'm not worried about taking the board out as it's not running yet. but i have spent LOADS on this system and don't want some thing that will crack and kill it.

what block do ppl recomend ?

Cheers

I had a Alphacool NexXxoS XP for my old 939 CPU and it did a good job in keeping it cool. as this is the only block ive used then i guess i have the recommend this. however i cant see the same design for the AM2 socket, instead i found a Alphacool NexXxoS XP Bold Cooler but i dont know much about this design.

Worth a look maybe...

AquaXtreme MP-05 SP Limited Edition CPU Water Block (delrin)

The AquaXtreme™ MP-05 SP Limited Edition CPU water block is designed to give outstanding performance to water cooling enthusiasts.
The S/S T304 Universal Socket Mounting Adapter is compatible with most motherboards. The AquaXtreme™ MP-05 SP Limited Edition comes with Nickel Plated Brass Top, fitted with two 9/16-18 straight threaded nickel plated High-Flow barbed fittings.
The Mid Plate featuring the accelerator nozzle is now available in polycarbonate or black acetal (Delrin).
The high-precision CNC machined Copper 110 base plate features micro pins and fine channels .

• The improved copper 110 base plate of the MP-05 SP Limited Edition features 432 micro pins, offering more surface area than the standard MP-05 SP with 300 micro pins.

• The MP-05 SP Limited Edition water block comes with the N03 Jets Rev. 2 Accelerator

• Default Accelerator Nozzle Mid Plate is made out of Black Delrin instead of Acrylic.

I use this one on an Asus A8N32SLI which looks the same layout as your AM2 Socket mobo.

Just been looking around at 1/2 water systems.

the only trouble is my case ain't huge, so need small stuff, but good at cooling.

lol

What case is it you have ?

Are you planning to watercool only the CPU or both CPU+GFX card ?

1/2" is only the tubing width it doesn't really take up any more room than smaller width tubing.

not sure can't find it any where, bought it 2 years ago.

Pic is here

Only have space for one 120mm fan on the back, and space for 4 80mm fans on the front, just there is not much air flow from the front.
Was just gonna cool the cpu, but i shall see how hot the cards get when it's running, but i'm not sure if one 120mm raditor will be able to cool the cpu and 2 Graphics cards !

Use to have the raditor ( when i had my Socket a system ) in the 3 bay drives, with the fan blowing air out the front.

Have a look at this W/C Kit - it gives blocks for both cpu+gfx (you can get the non + version slightly cheaper without the gfx card block

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-021-SW

This seems to be the one that most people on here recommend for ready-made kits if you don't want to go 'custom', which will be slightly more expensive.

The Rad can be mounted using the radbox fitting off the back of your case and as it's 120.2 that will be more than enough to cope with both cpu and gfx if you choose to do both.

Hope that helps

Sorry, yes you will need to use that so that you are able to screw down the cpu-block to match up with the fitting holes on the mobo.

It does come with tubing - they seem to have missed this in the item description
