Water Cooling based case mod idea

Has anyone ever thought of removing the HDD shelves completely, mounting the reservoir for the WC in their place and then placing the HDD in a free optical drive bay? Then the side panel could be modified to include an L shaped window so you can see the reservoir aswell. This idea is based around a full tower case. The reason I ask is because I've never seen it done before and wondered if anyone could think of any drawbacks before it's attempted.

Thinking about it now, this idea is probably better suited to a mid-tower case as a space saver. What do you guys think?

Ah right. I'm new to this and just hadn't seen anyone else do it yet. I figured someone must have already thought of it though
