Hi all. I hope you've had a great Christmas?

I bought the below system a few months ago locally but I've decided to sell everything to invest into some new tech (all be it this runs everything with ease...)

I have literally no knowledge about water cooling systems so I really shouldn't have bought it in the first place.

I'm wanting to bleed the system so I can sell the parts individually. This has a drain tap at the bottom. What do I need to buy to successfully bleed this system please?

..Specs and pictures below..

looks like you need a g 1/4 threat compression fitting with a small piece of pipe - screw it in the end of the tap and stick the pipe in a bottle/jug.

Turn off all the power and disconnect, open the tap up and let mavity do the rest. As long as the jug is lower than the PC mavity should pull most of it out. You might need to just tip it about a bit to get last bits out.

Whilst disconnecting it id also get some blank ends to shut the rads off so nothing drips out on to the mobo whilst disconnecting it all.

If any water does drip - just use kitchen roll to dry it up - should be deionised fluid inside anyway so cleaning up quickly wont cause any harm.

Is there a high point vent (probably on top of the res?). You’ll need to open that up as well after you open the drain.

That is great thank you. If you get time could you kindly link me to everything I would need from OCUK please? I'd like to order today and do this tomorrow :)

As Jokester says you need to let air in, to replace the water flowing out. There's no telling what condition the fluid is in so don't assume it's deionised, spread paper towel down. It's cheap and easy to prevent splashing.

Once you've let the main loop drain there is likely to be fluid still sat in corners, channels of blocks, etc so move the case around a bit. After that i would take components out one by one starting near the top, shake and tilt them over towels to fully empty. Rinse out ideally, then drain again and leave to dry. Some people stuff wads of kitchen roll in block ports to stop dripping during storage/posting. Plugs work just as well.
