I was going to replace the air cooling of my cpu to a different cooler as when i had a water cooling kit it leaked on me, but I want to cool down my cpu and later down the line my 5850 and another 5850 when i get my other card.

I want to get lower temps on AMD Phenom II x4 940 cpu (gpu's when the water blocks are out) my 5850 at the moment is at 43c cpu is at 40c I will upgrade to an i5 / i7 or wait for new amd or intell processors so I want something that should handle them overclocked.

I want it to look smart inside aswell (look cool) as the case is next to me and being an antec it has a window so I can see inside all lit up blue.

I don't want to spend loads so under £200 if possible lower down from 200 the better lol.

I have antec 902 case, 8gb ddr2, 5850 (soon to be another in xfire) creative sound card that's old and will be updated soon and a Asus M3A79-T Deluxe amd2+ motherboard.

But please tell me what parts you think I should get and if you have the same case with water cooling say what parts and upload some pictures if possible.

With any case that has a rear exhaust you can go down-market and fit a Corsair H50.
You can fit a 120.1 on the inside with a simple pump and block.
You can fit a 120.2/120.3 on the rear using a Swiftech Radbox with a simple pump and block.
You can go the whole hog with case cutting, huge rads, multiple blocks etc.

I think that myself dr4g0nf1y lol but I think it is the 902 if I remember correctly. But I could be wrong, I truly cant remember what one I bought.

I have both the 1200 and the 902.

the 1200 has 4 removable bays at front and two rear fans and the 902 only has 3 bays and one fan lol

Sorry i just checked info on the 902 it is a 1200 as 902 only has 2 front fans and i have 3

lol yes thanks for telling me lol, looks like i wasn't a cheap skate and spent a little more on the 1200 loool, any ideas for custom water cooling setup? and how to lay it out inside the case?

edit * i will now :D looooool *

All I can think of is an external pump.

I've got the reservator for mine but not got round to fitting it. It's difficult in the antecs to use rads because of the top extractor, those are best suited to cases such as the lian li's

Arh i guess i know what my next case is lol, I'll figure something out, I'm sure I'll find videos on youtube or somewhere on the net.

I've got a dual rad in the front of my antec900, pump in the base of the case and ressy on the back of the case. cooling gpu and cpu fine. Fans on the rad are sucking air in from the front using a fan controller and then exhausting out the back. Basically don't use the top fan to keep the noise down. You will lose 6 drive bays putting a rad in the front of the case but up to you.

Hi,

If you mount your HDD's in the top section of your case you should be able to fit a tripple rad in thr front of your case. If you remove the HDD caddies then remove the fans off the front of them you can screw these in place using the holes that the blank plates use then you just need pump, res and block.

Tripple rad should be able to handle just about anything you throw at it.

thanks :D when i get time i will take case apart to see what booyaka and Defiant83 mean thanks you two, any ideas on what rad or pump to get? or don't it really matter?

all depends on how far you can stretch your budget

personally I would go for
Thermochill 120.3 rad
Liang ddc 10w pump
Ek supreme cpu Block
Ek multi option res

I ant sure what my budget is at the moment as xmas is coming up and have to buy for people :( lool but i will save and get the best that i can, do oc sell all them parts?
