Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultra Watercooling Kit (Socket 462/478/LGA775/754/939/940) (WC-014-SW)

the kit wont be used on either of my rigs (so wont be on 24/7) it gona be used on a few old amd duron and athlon rigs also p4 478 main reason for this is i have a number of cpus i would like to oc and also to get an introduction in to watercooling with out the risk of damaging anything expensive or important.

will this kit be adequt?

thanks for any replys

Yeah it's pretty much the best pre-made kit out there you can get for the money.

I'd just go straight to putting it on your main rig though. :p

i could do

my opty 146 @3ghz 24/7 38c full load

:) see how it goes

You are better getting the components seperately. Dont bother with the NB block as it will reduce flow rate in your loop for no benefit (get an aftermark NB fan) and then change the rad to a Thermochill as they are the best, if it can fit get a Thermochill PA120.3.

For a noob go with the kit. When you've got spares lying about - tubing, other accessories - go with a custom kit. It all adds up with a custom kit, particularly if you're sourcing different suppliers and need all the bits and bobs.

Don't waste the kit on a duron. Get it on the opty and give it some more volts :)
