water cooling level drop.

i have a swiftech water system which has been running for about 6 months.it only cools the cpu and i have used distilled water.but i have noticed a drop in water level,is this normal.i have checked for leaks and cant see any.will i lose some water anyway.its about 5mm - 10mm.i have put a pencil mark on the reservoir and it has dropped in the past month,is this normal or u think i got slight leak somewhere.or shall i just top it back up.

Yes even a sealed car cooling system looses some, it will vent, so long as its small amount over long periods.

I would visit the Q&A section of the manu's site and see what they say is acceptable.

My Koolance loses about 25ml/yr. that dont sound like much, but its a lot with small res size#

yep it looks like a loads gone but like u say its only a small res.also how often do i need to change the water in it.or do i just top it up now and again.thx

i just top up with tap water/the recomended coolant (koolance sell 700ml bags for use) depending on if theirs any in stock where i get it from.

i do a drain + re-fill only when i change blocks (rarely) - closed loop with correct aditives shouldnt need frequent draining
