Looking to move to water cooling as been held back by temps on overclock
currently got a s939 X2 3800 @2650 just wanting to cool the cpu at the moment.

I have been looking around and it seems a custom setup is the way to go
Can anyone give me there opinions on the following parts and whether they would perform together

CPU block: DangerDen TDX 1/2"
Pump: DangerDen Mag II - LE
Radiator: DangerDen Heater core
Tubing: Clearflex 1/2" 6ft
12x 15-17.8mm hose clamps

Any improvements additions welcome

Thanks

It's all perfectly adequate but hardly going to set the world on fire (well, it's water, innit!)

It really all depends on the price for the listed kit. If it's £60, it's very good. If it's £150, it's over-priced and there are better options available for the price.

Many people will tell you, for a decent price/performance you cant beat the Swiftech kits. Everything you need, top quality and very good performance to boot.

I can get it for about £70,
Ive got a XP120 at min with a akasa Amber Ultra Quiet 120mm Fan and getting load temps of up to 56c when clocked to 2700 at 1.35v

do you think going for this water kit will give me a bit more headroom or would I be better off getting a top air cooler eg Zalman CNPS9500 or Scythe Ninja Plus?

i got a nexxos XP cpu block (one of the best blocks you can get at the moment)
an e-systems 450l/h pump
8 feet of tubing
black ice pro 120.1 radiator
resevoir
all the fittings
for £65 from MM, had to wait abit for offers mind,

i have 4 half inch fittings spair too, e-mail me if needed.

currently running my opteron 148 at 2.89Ghz temps of 43 idle 47 load, would be lower but i have a fungus infection in my system :(

i think you missunderstood :) im not selling it lol, i was just giving you an example of what you can get if you shop arround :) the nexxos block + half inch fittings was £33 inc delivery from an auction site which is a bargain.

lol thanks will keep a look out then for any more going cheep

I'm not too sure you'd get much extra from your X2 anyway, so going for W/C just to get higher overclocks may be a false economy. I got my X2 just over a year ago, and I can't get it over 2.55Ghz, and that's with 1.6V

WC seems a bit expensive, at least from the kits on OC UK. I can't see the point of spending £150-£200 just on cooling. Although I guess once you have the kit changing to new GPU/CPU socket formats is cheap, you just need new blocks. But I don't upgrade often.

Very rarely would you need a new block, My Swiftech cools a Skt 939 and a 7800gtx but will also cool a conroe and 19xx setup as all the bits come with the kit.
