I am in process of making a water cooling order one item I have my eyes on is Lamptron CW611, having read some reviews this morning there is a lot of suggestion that to get the best out of your fans it would be advisable to buy some G1/4 coolant sensors. As I'm fairly new to this game could someone advise how/where to fit these or point me to online information. Already in my basket is XSPC Raystorm D5 RX360 kit. I have heard one can be fitted to the reservoir, obviously with there being male and female options and pass throughs I need some advice. I'm guessing that I would also need to purchase more fixings than supplied in the kit, plus items such as cable splitters and 3pin to 4pin connectors. Many Thanks in advance

All you would need is this, just plug it into the unsed 'in' port on your pump/res combo instead of using the supplied stop plug.No other fittigns would be needed :)
YOUR BASKET
1 x XSPC G1/4" Plug with 10k Sensor (Black Chrome) £2.99
Total : £5.27 (includes shipping : £1.90 Ex.VAT).

From what i can tell your able to plug temp sensors directly into that specific controller and get the temp readout from the LCD screen.

Not sure about your cable situation,it depends how much your hooking up to the controller and the size of your case.

One per loop is plenty. These things aren't very accurate or precise so using them to gauge difference in temps at various points of a loop is really just asking for trouble.

Ah ok I get you. Case is Phanteks Enthoo Primo it will have the RX360 mounted in roof and all stock fans are being replaced with Noctua's, areas where fans are not included will have the fans fitted. Quick add up 3 fans on RX360 as part of kit plus 11 Noctua's of mixed 120/140mm, MB = ASROCK Z97 Extreme 9 with Intel i7 4790k, 32GB 2400 Gskill Trident and 6 Seagate Barracudas running RAID. Still looking for water block for Nvidia ASUS Strix GTX960 4Gb

ahh lot of fans then.

If your buying Noctuas, the standard noctua fans(Not redux or industrial) come with a Y splitter,4 pin extender and a Voltage reduction cable in the box.If your getting these will save you some cash on buying cables.
If your buying a whole bunch of new fans anyways you may aswell replace the fans that come with the kit aswell.

Anyone have any views on fans, in that if you can fit 120mm or 140mm I can use either with the only difference being that more 120mm can be fitted. Looking at the planned Noctua replacements NF-S12A and NF-A14 the decision is not cost but whether to go 1500/1200rpm or 1200/900rpm?

For rads? Save your money, those are so expensive for what they provide really. There are better 120 and 140mm rad fans for cheaper.

The NF-S12A is more of a case fan than anything else really, but really quiet!
