hi all

i have a few questions about cooling my system

i would prefer my system quite quiet or as quiet as i can get.

i have the antec 620 cooler at the mo which is fine it sits about 53degrees on full load OC @4.0ghz. it is in an antec 300 case

couple of questions then

1.i want to cool gpu as well as cpu is it better to have one big rad before cpu or have two smaller rads one before cpu and one before gpu?

2.inside or outside of case?

3.could i use the antec pump with a reservoir to get me started (single rad still)

4.which are the best bang for buck kits?

at the moment i have 6 fans whurrrring away cos graphics is a double fan jobby and it starting to annoy me cos its spinning loud all the time.

any help will be welcome.

thanks again

Some of these answers are subjective:

1.i want to cool gpu as well as cpu is it better to have one big rad before cpu or have two smaller rads one before cpu and one before gpu?

A 240 Radiator is sufficient, or a 360 if you have the room :), will be easier to setup, will look cleaner

2.inside or outside of case?

If you have room, inside because it looks tidier

3.could i use the antec pump with a reservoir to get me started (single rad still)
No. This is a close loop.
You can opt to use this to cool your CPU while picking up a 120 RAD kit to do your GPU.
However it will be tidier and performance wise better to get a kit

4.which are the best bang for buck kits?

I like the XSPC kits:
first choice: (if you have the room)
XSPC Rasa 750 RX360 Water Cooling Kit

or
XSPC Rasa 750 RX240 Water Cooling Kit

alternatively the RS prefix provides half height radiators ...

The OCUK kits are pretty good as well if you can afford them

... in response to your fans, well in WC setup you still need airflow inside the case, just lower RPM. Stick your fans on a Fan controller (providing they have 3 pins) and you can probably keep them, spin the down, acceptable air flow.
