A few of you gave me some early pointers. Cheers.
My XSPC EX360 + a stealth RS 120 all hooked up fine.

Got my CPU I7 980x extreme clocked at 4.5ghz at 45c under full 100% load stress test.

lovely job.

I'm going to add my 7970 to the loop once I decide on a waterblock and add a drainage valve at the same time.

Why do the EK blocks have the out/in on bottom of block? It means I have to wrap pipe around it and back up! (as my cards are 'upside down' when slotted in)

How are you guys solving this?

The new EK blocks should come with something called a 'Link Bridge' which rotates the ports 90 degrees for you - though I think everyone on the face of the earth agrees its a dumb idea to have just two ports on the underside of the card.

As for other waterblocks, IMO the best you can buy besides EK are Aquacomputer and Watercool (heatkiller) and possibly Koolance, though Koolance is far too expensive for what you get.

ok good info I will look them up. Everything seems to cost about £90 so I guess it comes down to the quality.

The XSPC one listed looks nice and simple. Any experience of these and their bridge?

I never used the bridge as I was unsure which I needed due to spacing on my board. Just tube between my cards. The blocks come with blanking plugs for the holes you don't need and include heat pads and paste.

i have the XSPC GTX 680 block for my GTX670 and its amazing. holes in top bottom and side so up to u.

my gpu never goes above 40C

oops, apparently the xspc blocks dont actively cool the VRM's. so I think I will search for another model especially as they all cost about the same amount
