i have a water leak that dissapeared for a while, but now its back.last summer i had a problem with both footwells filling with water if it rained,i cleaned pollen filter, cleaned sunroof drains and also all the drains under the bonnet, because i got told that sumtimes the driver side will fill up with water,by running down the accelarator cable and down the pedal.I thought i had fixed it because it dissapeared and has been fine, then today i checked the car and with the snow we have had i got a pool of water in passenger side and behind passager seat, that has frozen.

The car hasnt been on road since last summer, due to me buying it and passing my test ect, which is all sorted now just need to sort insurance,it also passed mot last week.

anyone know where it could be coming in from?

have you cut all the bottoms off the drain plug things, they love to clog up with all sorts of dirt, you will find them near the drivers door hinge and near the rear light clusters iirc.
snip the bottoms off them, and when i remember doing it, water gushed out !

i havent cut them, but i remeber when the sunroof drains where blocked i ran a wire all way down the hole and it came out there, and loads of water came out.So i just cut the rubber bit? think last time i had to squeeze it to open it

If it's like my old Toledo (which is possible, being the same platform) it's the seals in the back doors behind the door cards.

Take the door cards off the back doors (only a few screws) and you'll see a big plate attached to the door with all the window mechanism and things screwed to it - this has a rubber seal around it that deteriorates - some silicone sealant around it sorts it out. The water trickles from the front corner of the back door under the front seats and into the footwells
