Hello All, I have a fully water-cooled rig (CPU, GPU1 and GPU2) i changed the water a little over a year ago but i have not flushed the loop in 3 years, i think it is about time i gave it some TLC to keep it running sweet.

Does Flushing actually work? i have used De-ion. water with some Clear Water additive, i did use Zerex but since it stained my last loop i changed it.
I have added some UV DYE but very little, just to give the water a TINT.

Thanks all.

PS, if this is recommended, what solutions should i be looking at?

With a plain distilled/dionised loop it should need very little maintenance. Adding things like UV dyes etc can return to powder/crystal form after a while which may have cased some minor blockages.

You can't really 'flush' your loop once it is installed without taking everything to bits (inclduing the blocks). For most this is too much hassle. What I tend to do is drain the water and replace every year or so, just for piece of mind although this has never given me any performance benifits.

Plain distilled/dionised water with a little ptnuke (copper sulphate) is all I ever use these days. A little UV dye is fine aslong as you don't overdo it as everything you add to water will slightly decrease its cooling/heat transfer capabilities.

Thanks Webbo, i have some very faint Stains on my cleartop EK gpu blocks but that was casued by a half ltr of FluidXP before my last change.
