Right now i have sli reference 770's, one is water cooled and the other is not.
is there any point spending £90 on a block and back plate for the second card, my temps are ok and i have a one slot space between cards for air to flow.

i was planing on rebuilding my loop when i am off work over crimbo, but i am now thinking i may put the stock cooler back on the first card as i like the look, never had a problem with temps, and i could drop my external rad.

what ppls view. how long will SLI 770's last in today game world, right now it max's out my games just fine, but i got a new 1440 monitor will the card handle it ok

If they are 2GB 770s I wouldn't invest in a new block and plate as 1440p pretty much filled my 680s VRAM in every game I played and was the reason I didn't SLI.

If they are 4GB cards I would just go for it as they'll be fine for a long time.

I really wouldn't then. As soon as you upgrade to 1440p then a new GPU will be on your mind and you'll regret having recently invested in new blocks.
