waterblock staining

anybody give me advice how best to clean this up.

try the mayhems blitz kit they have a good video that shows how to use it. or take it apart and scrub it yourself :eek:

A soft / medium bristle toothbrush will do the trick. Make sure you put the rubber bits back correctly, though.

its dried on abit so may have to use the mayhems basic blitz and see if it will shift it.

wont the alcohol, strip the nickel plate.

I've cleaned nickel plated stuff with isopropyl alcohol and it's been fine.

I bet just water + scrubbing will be enough to loosen the stain. It's always best to wash out your blocks with purified water before you leave them to dry.

Dont get alcohol on the plexi though as it has a tendency to make it brittle

Tbh that one doesn't look to bad. It doesn't look stained and probably needs a bit of a flush and that will do.

Just make sure to get the clean one and not the one that looks like a murder scene.

lol yes was thinking the same, the other one has the fc link detached but would get the clear one anyway, do you think its worth getting that card then, its taken me ages to get him to show pics of it.

Honestly it's the one you want and EK 780 blocks are streets ahead of the others, so as long as you ask for the one with the least staining then I would go for it.

Remove the block top, toothbrush + white vinegar then give it a good rinse after.

well ive bought the block so will see what it looks like in the flesh, then will give it a good clean, prob try rubbing alcohol first then if really bad then the method you have said.
