has anyone got a diagrame of how a loop should be setup? trying to draw mine out on paper and stuck on what should go first.. i'll be using a Laing D5 pump at the bottom of my HAF X and a EK Dual Bay res

Typical loop consists of blocks, reservoir, pump and radiators. Every one of these has two fittings for an in, and an out.

Pump > CPU Block > GPU block > Radiator > Reservoir > back-to-Pump

Actual order of anything apart from Reservoir and pump are irrelevant. Aim to get your hose lengths as short and more importantly as kink-free as possible. Plenty of example builds in the Project Logs section if you dont find what you need in this section.

Just to re-iterate above

Reservoir before pump, other than that just whatever route is easiest for your own case
If you use paint to make a mock up of case incl rad positioning etc, people can give more specific advice

There ya go dude

Another thing that could look really good if one very well would be:

res-pump-rad-CPU-res

But what thrifles said would b easier

Having experience of not so long ago done my first build, a bit of advice would be to have your loop planned, but be flexible, as for instance you may find, when you fit the bay res if your rad connections are at that end (front of case) depending on positioning it may end up being too close together to route this way, so you may have to change order to as Cleecoo said or get creative with bending.

Example being if you click my sig and look at my build (3rd pic) and see how I had to route the tubing from my CPU to my tube res around it almost, in order to prevent kinking

I never bother planning a loop, I generally look at it with all the fttings in and imagine a loop in there...

like a boss :p

I'd agree on the form over function of nickel but on the proviso that if you buy EK make sure you get the EN versions. Other makes not such an issue.

what about the coolant then? whats the best one to go for? is there a certain company? plus thinking about using an UV coolant too
