Watercooled 2900XT

Finished istalling the w/c on my 2900 last night, I felt the fan noise was a little too much considering how close my case is to my head!

I was seeing max temps of 80+ °c before (clocked to 739/939). Now the temp sits at 40-45 quite happily, may even try overclocking it further

Was a pain getting everything in the case, and finding somewhere for the rad currently out of the front of the case and onto a shelf beside, out of the way.

Here be some piccers!

Next phase will be to tidy up the case - the lights need to be moved to work around the waterloop, and the cables need some better routing!

Is that loop just for the gfx card? How much did it cost in the end?

Wouldn't mind doing something like this myself if I could justify the cost.

Yep just for the gfx.

Coolant £12
Wormscrews £3
Delivery £too much

Something like that, WB may have been more, not sure.

Yeah it looks nice but rather than pay that much for lower temps / more overclocking I would've just got a faster card.

Edit: I just realized how stupid that post was, since he had the card before he bought the watercooling stuff, obviously.

I didn't do it for either of those reasons, I did it for quiet

Nice pics, nice piece of work there. Are you going to put the rest of your system on that water loop in due course?

Its an option, for sure. But at the moment everything else is pretty quiet already and stays cool enough... Maybe once my funds recover in a few months
