Watercooled C2D - spacer?

I heard that some waterblocks have trouble making good contact with C2D IHS because of the capacitors around the socket on most boards. I'm rigging up my new E6420 this weekend, under a Koolance CPU300. Has anyone here with watercooled C2D had to do use a 'spacer'?

It looks like I'm going to have to grind the edge off the retention bracket anyway, the Abit AW9-D Max has loaded of heatsinks stuck around the CPU socket :(

TIA

So no-one here with a C2D under a waterblock?

I take it a lack of replies means no problems (I hope :D). But the load plate around the CPU does look like it could inhibit a decent contact possibly.
