Okay, so I am fully aware that watercooling a games console such as the Xbox 360 or Xbox One exists. I was considering it, don't get me wrong I know there will be very little if any improvement in performance, I simply wanted to do it because, well why not?

Is there anyone on here that has done it to preferably an Xbox One?

And if so, what are some of the problems you ran into?

In all honesty you would be wasting your time and money trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist, in particular doing it to an Xbox One given it certainly isn't a console that is known for overheating or being loud. You wouldn't be gaining any performance.

But if you really want to do it I imagine the issues are going to be how to get components integrated into the chassis and attached to the system board. It isn't like you're dealing with standard fitting components. What happens when you remove the consoles built in fan, how do you know this wouldn't cause the console to throttle back because it thinks that its fan has failed?

To be honest I was never intending to build the watercooling loop into the standard case, I have been looking into a separate enclosure for the radiator, the reservoir and the pump. But thinking about it now, couldn't the corsair H55 fit into the case? Anyway, I'm still left wondering if its just the CPU that the fan and heat-sink is cooling in the Xbox One or if the RAM and the GPU are being cooled by this as well?

I don't know what the xbox's normal noise levels are like but water cooling pumps plus a couple of fans might well be louder. Plus if you're doing it just for the fun then I assume there isnt a way to see the xboxs CPU temp so you cant even see how much of an improvement you've made. It seems a bit silly

I'm pretty sure they don't have s GPU as such- its all on one chip so only one block is needed?

Water cooling the Xbox one feels completely pointless, it's virtually silent anyway.

If you're going to have a go, try it on an original chassis PS4, they can ramp up the fan pretty loud under load.
