After much neglect I resurrected my Coolermaster ATCS 201B from the attic and set about moving my fileserver into it. Since the fileserver is currently already in operation, I had plenty of time, so I foolishly decided to watercool it too

Spec

Coolermaster ATCS CM201B
DFI Lanparty 680i
E2160
2x256 DDR2
nVidia 7300
4Gb Kingston CF card with cheapo CF-IDE adaptor
1x 1Tb WD10EACS Green Power
1x 750Gb Seagate 7200.9
1x 750Gb WD7500AAKS
2x 500Gb WD5000AAKS
460w Coolermaster PSU

Watercooling
XSPC Delta V2 (painted black)
MIPS DFI 680i NB (painted black)
EK Asus2 SB
Black Ice Stealth 120.2
ACRyan Hexx Radiator Grill
D-Tek DB-1
XSPC Black tubing
DangerDen Fillport
DangerDen Acetal T block

80mm Sharkoon silent eagle 1000 exhaust
120mm Sharkoon silent eagle 1000 radiator fans, with 38mm gutted fan acting as a shroud
2x 80mm yate loon intake fans (out of sight) @ 5v

First I took the top off the case by drilling the rivets, then tapped the holes in the case and countersunk the holes in the top, then used appropriate countersink bolts to re attach.

The exterior was a bit battered, so that's been resprayed black and lacquered, the case and motherboard tray primed, painted gloss white and lacquered. The front mesh and window have been replaced with some ACRyan Hexx Mesh.

It's still a WIP so pics as they are ready. The panels will be left as they can be done any time.

Leak testing and bleeding done, just need to wait for a graphics card and PSU n the post and then transfer the HDDs over and install windows :) The panels haven't been painted yet, but they may have to wait for it to warm up a bit :(

Not plumbed as aesthetically as I'd like, but it was way too tight between the NB and CPU :/

Awesome Another ATCS, im leak testing the loop (in a ATCS110) as we speak, thread is called 'ATCS Log' ......... anyho, was this all silver to start with?

Any pics of how you used the gutted fan as a shroud?

Unfortunately not, but basically cut the 4 bits holding the fan to the frame and then bolted that between the fan and the radiator.

It was black, but ended up scratched so needed redoing :( Was the nice piano black too.

Whats the point of doing that with the fans though?

Sets them off the radiator, removes the dead spot, reduces air turbulence noise etc. I already had them to hand (broken fans years ago) and want this pc as quiet as possible.

Im not sure I'd bother with them really, but they were going spare, so i thought why not.

Well its time to shine has come! bring on the high speed blades! the TJ07 is still too blooming expensive!

I've got some updates soon... :)

Had AAT exams this week, but I'll be finishing the window off this weekend, tidying wiring etc and then I'll get some pics up, leaving the side panel painting until it warms up.
