As Haswell has come out, I've updated my spec wish list. What do you guys think? Should i go for a 1200i or 860i PSU? Also how many GPUs should I have? i already have a 7970 so would it be wise to buy another 2? i have a triple 24" monitor setup.

if going for "just" 2 7970's then an 850w or more power supply is what you want. if you want 3 7970's then get a 1200watt supply. Might be worth looking into x79 tbh, purchase a 3820 now and wait a few months for ivy-e to come out and then sell the 3820.

You have got me thinking about upgradability. Whats next after the 49xx 2011 chips? Bloomfield for the 1150 is next year.

For background, I'm still one my i7 920 and motherboard i got years ago. Its hard to upgrade CPU + motherboard so usually i only do that every 5 years when buying a brand new PC. In the interim i upgrade RAM and GPU.

My current PC is a 5 year old i7 920 so defo time for a complete overhaul. I'll get to scavenge my WD raptor 350GB and Samsung 1TB plus my ATI 7970 :)

Not sure just getting the final prices now.

Might upgrade to the Asus ROG Phoebus.

I gather you not in a hurry for you pc, D900's look to be delayed for 3-4 weeks due to alleged quality issues. Cracking case thou when you do get your hands on one.
