Right , I'm speccing up my new loop and i've decided not to buy a new case and instead run an external radiator, but thats as far as i've got as i'm unsure exactly what i need and how to run the loop:-

Right now i'm running a XSPC dual bay D5 vario, EX280 rad and raystorm cpu block, My loop runs Pump-Rad- block- pump

My shopping list so far is :-

YOUR BASKET
2 x EK Water Blocks EK-FC R9-290X - Acetal £89.99 (£179.98)
Total : £191.38 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Hi , thanks for replying.

My tubing size is 3/8 , no real budget involved and yes fans would be good thanks.

Cheers, Ed.

PS: QDC's ?

We've all got to start somewhere mate. I certainly asked my fair share of questions when I got started :) You sure that's exactly the right tubing? I only ask because you said 3/8 originally.

Yeah 100% , it was a silly mistake , i had my 3/8 ratchet in my hand at the time lol

Will one ex280 be enough for 2 290x and a CPU?

Edit, just seen you external rad comment. Deffo the way forward!! A nice sr1 360 or 480...

Here's a somewhat balls out solution. Someone may want to suggest different QDC's if they know of better options.
I use the same female QDC with 7/16 tubing btw. Just dip the end of the tube in hot water and it'll go on (and stay on!)

The rad isn't dependent on super high pressure fans and is happy with low rpms, so those will do just fine IMO.

Here's something a bit more sensible and reasonably priced :D

Plenty of options to play with here tbh.

You may also want some 4pin braided extensions, as that 5-way pwm cable can get a bit messy.

Wow thanks ! , i'm really looking forward to rigging this up , so what about loop order , and the plumbing to the 290x's ?

Thanks for the help btw !

No probs mate, who doesn't enjoy a bit of speccing eh? :D

Do your loop order in whichever way is the shortest/neatest really.
Perhaps pump-cpu-external rad-gpu-gpu-front rad-pump.
The order isn't super important.

As for the plumbing, you'll just need another 6 compression fittings, or perhaps 4 compression fittings and crossfire bridge thingy.
Depends how you want to link the cards. Have a look at the Ek FC bridges http://www.overclockers.co.uk/produ...=1529&sortby=manual_sort&subid=2267&mfrid=428
