Hi, I will soon be going from an AIO cooler and reference GPU's to a full loop. Im currently sending my MSI Gaming 980Ti's back for reference cards and will over the next few weeks be doing a full loop including cpu etc. Ive never done a full loop before :D.

I plan to use my 750D for something else and upgrade to a corsair 900D instead so I can fit 2x 480mm radiators, one on the side and one in the top to cool everything. I just have a few questions to ask about size and fitting of certain items and the best orientation of the loop.

So i want push/pull fans on both radiators if possible and will be using corsair sp120 quiet edition fans. How much difference does thick radiators make? i can get 38mm or 60mm 480 EK radiators will they fit in the roof and side with push pull fans? Am i better of going with 38mm for better space. How will this affect temps?

My loop i want it to go through either a 250 bitspower or 250 EK reservoir to a EK D5 Vario X pump which will go through the side 480 radiator then up into both GPU's. Then back into the top 480 radiator back out and into the CPU, back out and into the res. My question is id rather not go through the back and into the bottom of the res. Is it fine to fit a multi port top:-

So it can go out of the CPU and straight into the top of the res via 90 degree fitting. That way I can fill it up and have it looking nice aswell.

Also id like to ask where the best place is to fit a drain valve, like a ball valve type so i can drain the system to replace parts, fluid etc.

Do i need cable extensions for fans, motherboard, cpu power etc?

If any corsair 900d watercooled owners could show me a few pics for me to go from, give me ideas that would be great.

Thanks for your time much appreciated :).

If you look at the build log in my sig I have a 900D with 2x 480mm rads and a 240mm rad.

In the top if you want to do Push - Pull you'll need to stick with the 38mm rad else I think the clearance over the motherboard will be an issue.

However in the bottom bay you should have less of a problem, I guess it will depend on your PSU.

Looks great :). I plan just plain flexible tube for mine as i change things quite often and would make it much easier that way.

Ill stick with a 38mm in push pull so i have more room thanks for that :). I was thinking about a drain at the bottom so I will do that aswell.

How did you connect all the fans up via splitter?

Never thought a res would fit like that so that has given me ideas when everything comes aswell.

How easy was it to fit the extra 240 radiator in the bottom? I quite like the idea of that to the addition of the 480 if it isnt to much of a task. Would i need another pump?

Thanks for your help :)

It was really easy to fit the 240 in the bottom, the PSU fits with all the brackets installed so it was fine.

Yes I used the "Y" splitters that came with the fans.

However now I (personally) would just do custom cables to be perfectly honest.
