I've got myself a litre of bidistilled water for my rig. I also got a bottle of Ekoolant additive concentrate.

Is it necessary to use the additive as it is also a blue dye so i'm not too keen on the components getting dyed blue.

Thanks

"Ek proved formula for best watercooling performance and long lasting vivid colours"

Ingredients - Anticorrosive

The bottle of distilled water says it doesnt protect against corrosion so i'm guessing im probably going to need to put this in.

Thanks

Oh dear do I need to add the kill coil straight away. I bought a package thing under the impression everything was included bar the distilled water. Didn't even think about checking there was a kill coil included

Should be fine running your loop for a while without it. some people have run their loops for months and nothing has gone wrong. Is the EK stuff literally just a corrosion blocker, or does it have any other properties?

I bought one of Ek's packages and it came included. The instructions say to add it on a 1:9 ratio with distilled water.

"Ek-EKoolant - UV Dark Blue

UV Water Additive Concentrate

"Ek proved formula for best watercooling performance and long lasting vivid colours"

Ingredients - Anticorrosive, UV Water based Dye"

Thats all it says on the bottle other than saftey stuff

Alright thanks, I'm testing it now, should the res have lots of little bubbles and have condensation on the top?
