Hi

Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on my watercooling setup which is as follows in order of connectivity:

switech 655 pump
swiftech storm cpu block
Maze 4 GPU {on 7800gtx 1)
Maze 4 GPU (on 7800 gtx 2)
Maze 4 A8N chipset block
Thermochill PA120.2 (with 2 panaflo m1a's)
swiftech res

all blocks have been seeted correctly and seem to be ok (all using arctic ceramiqe) rad is mounted ontop of a Lian Li v1000 with the fans blowing air down over the rad and into the case

The case has a panaflo l1a as an exhaust fan.

Have also tried reversing all the fans so the l1a sucks in air and the m1a's suck air out over the rad but temps seem to be around the same with either config.

Temps are as follows opty 170 (at 2.74 1.5v) fans on full 35c idle 44 full load (super_pi running on both cores) ingame with both 7800gtx's running full pelt it goes up another 2-3c

im thinking these temps should be better than this but cant see how to improve things - any help would be appreciated

That is stated in the original post

oops sorry d00d..

Have you got all the fans flowing one way as in.. pulling from front and pushing out back... as an example. (Think about the aerodynamics of a car)

I would've thought pulling air from the rad was the best idea.. rather than pushing air into the case

Edit: Posted this a while ago on another forum.. but this was in a Stacker. You'' get the idea i'm trying to pass to you

Don't worry about super low temps as reported by other people here - they are probably wrong. Use a probe and make sure your temps are accurate. You will get temps of around 11c above ambient at the very best.

quoted for truth.

I really ought to store my response so I don't have to write it out every time but your block has a C/W capability which is well-documented if you can be bothered to google for it. Use that number to calculate what your block could possibly be cooling that Opty to. 44C for a dual-core Opteron at 1.5v and 2.74GHz with a couple of hot gpus in the loop is excellent and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
