Watercooling Advice

Cheap inneffective watercooling is what you have there. Better results will be had from a scythe ninja (Not just value wise, ACTUALLY better performance).

To justify the extra expense of watercooling you need to buy a decent kit, one of the swiftech ones from ocuk would be a good investment but the best is a custom components setup. What do you mean "He cannot do it himself"? Why not?
 
It's not ideal no, but watercooling like that has no reason to exist other than to rip off people like your friend. A decent £35 heatsink and fan will perform a lot better than that kit.
