Years ago i ventured into watercooling, using Swiftech stuff, and motorcycle radiators, and sugcal tubing! So, i have done this before! However, I am fed up with the noise my machine is making nowerdays, and seeing as i dont move it around anymore, and it means when my GF is asleep and I want to do stuff on the internet i have to cringe as the fans whirr and no doubt upset her.

I figure its time to go back to water-cooling... Only thing is, once again, i am very out of touch.

OcUK GeForce 8800 GS 384MB GDDR3 HDTVDVIHDMI
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2
Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L Intel P31 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E2200 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.20GHz (800FSB) - Retail

That is my sytem at the moment, in a Coolermaster 210.

I quite like the idea of a drive bay clear res, and want the GFX and CPU in the loop (do people even do twin loop systems?)

So, lets say i have a budget of about 100 quid (obviously less is more in this instance!) and want almost silent. (I have plans for my PSU, i have some of my old papst case fans lying about to mod into it :))

You wont get much for £100 unless you buy second hand.

I bought

DTek fusion
Pa120.2
ddc ultra 18w
xspc bay res

For about £100 of the MM

I am open to buying second hand, thats not a problem :)

Will the bits you posted work with my system, and is it for both GFX and CPU?

Yerr that will handle a cpu and gpu with no problem. Just soft mount the pump and get some low noise fans and it will be fine. Thermochills are optimised to work with low cfm fans.

Then it will be your hdd thats annoying you.

either way, you will need fans and budget watercooling isn't much better than high end air cooling so you could buy a passive cpu heatsink and if temps are too high, than put a silent spinning fan on the heatsink

Zalman VNF100 Fanless VGA Cooler - thats looks pretty good, and matches my colour scheme!

So, if i wanted a CPU/Res/Pump system for under 100 is that do-able?

i specced myself some watercooling

its here - i thought long and hard about it
