Watercooling advice....

You want to be ordering the 1/2" perfect seal ones. With that tubing they will form a REAL tight fit.
You will have to pop the ends into boiling water to get them soft enough to go over the 1/2" fittings!
This is very true, ive started getting a few bits for a watercooling loop, done a test fit of 7/16 tubing over a 1/2 inch barb, very tight seal and no leak. Had to cut the tubing to get it off.

Hi PP, Not been on here for a while due to life taking a turn for the worse, anyways back here now. I decided to upgrade my case and took delivery of a 700D Corsair this morning. I am now planning to water cool using the advice you gave but now usind a 240mm Rad due to size :-) The rest will pretty much stay the same. Will post pics when done, ordering parts as we speak.

Was going to say that the Fractual Design R2 looks like a nightmare to do internal watercooling.

Ok, so first part of the build done (pictures coming soon) I am just waiting on some anti kink coils and a fan controller. But my question is this.. I got hold of proper distilled water (not deionised) and added Primochill liquid utopia and may place a silver coil in the resi. I have clear tygon tubing and am getting white anti kink coils as I have a black/white theme that has developed. Should I add Fesser Black dye to the loop or am I asking for trouble, I know a lot of people don't like loop dyes. Any advice appreciated.

The whole point of not using coloured liquid (e.g. feser blue/green/rainbow) is to not have the dye in your loop as thats the stuff that breaks down and coagulates around the pins in the blocks and stains your tubing.

What is often recommended these days is to use just distilled, with a couple of drops of ptnuke or other biocide and a silver coil, then if you want colour, buy coloured tubing.

Great, Thanks for that info. Have read lots of bad things about coloured dye. Gonna stick with D'water and clear tubing with coloured coils. Sure at some point I can upgrade the tubing.

Project Noob...Black and White.

Well finally completed my first build with water cooling. Really happy with results and temps on CPU and NB. It's not perfect I'm sure but I can only get better I hope.

Well done, looks nice for your first go.

I would try to get more white coil and have it much more compacted together, looks a lot nicer, but hey thats me :)

Trying to upload pictures.
