Hi

Ive got this cpu block (Aqua Computer Cuplex Kryos Delrin)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-027-AQ

and two of these fittings(OcUK 3/8" G1/4 - FatBoy Style)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-073-OE

Aswell as 3/8inch pvc tubing.

am using this coolant (Mayhems X1)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-032-MH&groupid=962&catid=1531&subcat=

Ive noticed that the 3/8 inch tube is not super snug on the barb fitting so is a cable tie and a jubilee clip good enough in your opinion to fasten the 3/8inch tube to these barb fittings ?

What would happen if some of this coolant(Mayhems X1) were to leak all over the mobo/gpu ?

Cheers

A jubilee clip will do the job nicely :)

If it does leek, it will go bang. (I speak from experience)
Is a 3/8 inch tube pushed on a 3/8 inch barb fitting and a jubilee clip good enough when compared to a snugger fit of the next size up barb fitting say a 1/2 inch for example ?

I thought pc coolant was chemically treated in such a way where it was electrically safe when split over a pcb maybe not?

I like to use smaller tubing on bigger fittings for that extra security. I got some mayhems pastel in my XFX PSU. I let it dry a couple of days but there must have been more than I thought and smoke started before it went pop. I also thought it was non conductive but was proven otherwise.

Mayhems is non conductive when its being made and bottled and when you first pour it in the loop how ever that's it. Once inside you loop it pick up ions and becomes conductive over a short period of time. There is "no" premixed normal coolant out there that stays this way except for 3m fluids. If you would like them Its £70 to £150 per Kilo (1/2 a ltr).

We do not advertise our coolant as none conductive though as we think its miss leading and would allow for you the end user to sue us !!! We let others sell you product using Buzz words...

It was all my fault and I know that getting fluid on electric isn't good regardless of what it says (except that cooking oil or whatever it is called). I took the hit on buying a new PSU and in no way do I hold Mayhems responsible.

Very good fluid and I will be sticking with your product :)
