Hi Lads,

I currently have a P180 however after buying a Thermochill PA120.3 rad I can safely say that this will never mount inside the P180 case so im on the hunt for a new case
What cases would you pro watercoolers suggest for a Thermochill PA120.3?

Cheers Dom

Least ammount of modding, definately a silverstone tj-07

Lian li v2000 can easily fit one or 2 of these in the bottom with little effort, G70 can fit one in the top with a rad hole cut. All very nice cases with excellent build quality.

If you want the 'best' then a U2-UFO or similar - no modding needed and built for one purpose - watercooling.

If you want the best 'normal' tower style case then V|per is right - Silverstone TJ07 or a V2000 fit them with very little if any modding required.

Thanks for the replys lads. :)

Problem is I like cases which have flat sides and no holes and have a door like P182, A71, V2110B

so ideally I would prefer the rad on the underside of the top of the case.

After looking at loads of cases, the A71 looks like the best bet, however im unsure of what I will need to do to get the PA120.3 mounted on the roof :S

Any one had a A71 with watercooling?

Just looked at the Lian Li website, turns out they do do modded tops for cases with 120mm fans for them but you cant buy it direct from Lian Li.

looking for a 3x 120mm top panel for a black A71

If anyone can find one please let me know

Cheers Dom :)

Pft, can't believe i forgot the UFO... blasphemy!

Cutting a rad hole in the top of a case is a pretty easy job to be honest dude. there are diagrams of actual rad size on websites, drill a couple of holes, jigsaw the rest out. Couple more holes for mounting. Can either file/sand the edges down for a very nice finish, or chuck a rad grill on top to hide any jaggies (rad grills are like anti aliasing for jigsaw cuts :D)

Google a couple of tutorials, they really are a lot easier than they look...

Or a specialist will charge about £30 to cut a radiator hole and fit a radiator. If you buy the case and radiator from them then you'll also save on postage charges.

what you jokers seem to be forgetting is a lime green heavily modified 4 year old now discontinued lian li.

details people details!!!

its the lime green PC70 or a (bloomin lovely) TJ07 as far as I'm concerned.

I would happily trade my green machine for an 07, they're such high quality its silly.

Well, modding the pc is no probs for me, but to get any sort of money back from selling it modding the case is a no no.

If I buy a spare top for the case then I can modd that no probs and when I want to sell the case I can just put the non-modded top back on :D

I think I will just buy a top with two holes pre cut and just cut the third myself :)

Does anyone know where I can get either a replacment A71B top or a top with pre cut holes in the uk as all the places I have found are American and postage is ~£20

Its ok lads I found one :)

It's not entirely true that you'll not get any value back from selling it. Matt100 possibly won't because his sig machine is very customised and not many people could cope with no optical drives. What you won't get on a useable, well modded case eg. a roof-cut, is any extra, and you will cut out that proportion of the population who are not water-cooling, but the numbers who are water-cooling are rising rapidly, and as long as you're not looking to make a profit on a modified case, you will be able to sell it for a reasonable return. Of course, if it's a bodge then you will take a bath on it.

Have you had a look on Member's Market for a bargain?

Well I have looked on the MM for a while for an A71B but couldnt find one, last one was pickup only, so looks like I wil need to buy a new one :)

Shop I was going to buy a Black top panel cover from does not have it in stock so now need to find somewhere else in the uk that has it in stock :(
