Would there be any problems with these parts?

Koolance CPU-370

EK-FC5X0 GTX GW Acetal + Nickel

Koolance RP-452X2 Dual 5.25"

Bitspower Black Compression Fittings 3/8" ID 5/8" OD

XSPC EX240

My main worry is mixing metals

there is no real problems mixing metals like you have selected there! as long as you use some decent water and some biocide i see no problems!

You just need to ensure you get the right tube to fit your compression fittings. And yep, deionised water + a silver kill coil is all you need liquid wise.

Is a silver kill coil recommended with EK blocks? The reason I ask is there is a notice slip inside the box for the FC6870 blocks I picked up yesterday stating to use concentrait biocide rather than a silver coil as the silver speeds up corrosion?

Really? Were these EK Nickel plated blocks?

Yeah, Nickel plexi, it looks like something they have only recently started putting in as its not part of the main manual, I'll snap a pic of it later today. Says something about not to use glycol (think thats how its spelled?) too as thats bad for corrosion too.

I'll dig out the slip now and sort out a TL;DR for it until my phone has charged :)

right it says in short:

Copper (II) Sulphate biocide and silver coils (AG) when not used with corrosion inhibiting coolant may cause irreparable damage to the nickel plating, as such is not recommend for use with EK products.

Edit: at the bottom it also says to only use market proven coolants.

Guess this relates to EK's quality issues with there plating process.

Glycol isn't good for some types of seals as far as I'm aware.

Ahh, the similar issue to what cleeecooo (think it was him) had with his FC blocks?

I opted for DI water with nuke PHN biocide and some anti-corro fluid, I nearly went for a kill coil, quite happy I didn't after reading this.

Edit: Pic of EK info slip:-

Edit: It would seem the only biocide OCUK sell is the mayhems, which contains copper sulphate as well, maybe EK found the root of the corrosion problems after all?
