I've just ventured into the world of watercooling, (I decided that my vapochill XE was FAR too loud for my minuscule overclock)

I've purchased a DFI Chipset Cooler (DFI Freezer) and it doesn't come with the connection, I want to connect it to a 3/8" tube. I'm confused about the different thread types BSPT and BSPP anyone got any idea what thread I need for my 1/4" thread in the cooler?

G1/4 is pretty universal these days so that would be my guess. Then decide what tubing you want to use and get a barb that suits.

States thread is G1/4, which is the same as 1/4" BSPP (usually shortened to BSP)... in terms of thread.

The "G" designation generally means that the fitting is designed to utilise a rubber O-Ring seal.

Stuff labelled as 1/4" BSP generally isn't designed for use with an O-Ring and thus requires PTFE tape to guarantee a leak-proof seal.

DangerDen's G1/4 Perfect Seal and Highflow fittings for 3/8" ID hose should be perfect...
