Watercooling: D-Tek barb

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any experience with the D-Tek 1/2" hose Barb?

In the description it states "the oversized barb end can eliminate the need for hose clamps".

Can I trust this? Should I use some hose clamps?

Use clamps or zip ties. Not worth the risk.

i use 7/16" tubing over 1/2" barbs and cable ties for good measure.

Theres no way 7/16" hose is coming off a 1/2" DTek. I had to cut the hose off with a stanley knife the seal was so tight. They're excellent barbs.

Use cable ties, although those barbs are one of the best you can buy and it's highly unlikely the hose would come off it without a cable tie.
