Just looking round the MM for a cheap water cooling setup ( cheap as in £70 max ). I want a cpu and GPU setup idealy altho a cpu setup of some sort is a must as Ive sold my HS/F.

Im just a bit confused about which GPU and CPU blocks will fit my system. Also which pumps will be good enough for this. Do I need one rad, or 2?
Help would be welcome as I a complete noob at this.

cheers Jack

Danger Den TDX CPU Waterblock this one? I realy need the pumb to be good enough as I will be adding a GPU block in a few weeks. The trouble is a need to get this set up now on this budge to get my cpu up and running again.

What about this? 1x Eheim 1250 Pump - £25

Another question ( sorry  ) How much strain is this going to put on my powersupply?

Yea that TDX block. Yea that pump isnt bad, they are pretty big but depending on the case it might not be a problem. If that pump runs of the psu it is very little power needed really. On your 430w it shouldnt be any problem.

Ah, good old members market. I've heard there are good bargains on there, and one day I hope to see them. Good luck on the watercooling, once you start, you won't look back.

The pump is a pretty decent one, better than the eheim in my opinion. The rest of it isnt the best stuff. The rads dont look the easiest to work with and im not sure the fittings on the block are the right size for the pump as they look smaller. You'd need to ask that. Dont forget you need to buy tubing etc on top of the blocks/pump/rad. The res is fine if it doesnt leak. The other option is a t line which means you dont need a res.

The swiftech MCP650 is a rebadged danger den D4 isnt it? I thought these had a horrible whine and should be avoided? Can someone clear this up?

Ive got a D4 mounted on a block of foam, and I think I've 7volt modded it (Did it a while ago so don't remember exactly) but mine doesn't whine. I think it was luck of the draw. On the otherside, the D5 is supposedly better.

Yeah I heard that the D5 is better but cant find any second hand ones. I'm thinking about an eheim 1250 but it seems absolutely enormous, is this true?

The D4 is supposedly quite a noisey pump but it is very powerful. I have owned a D5 a while ago and it was an amazing pump. Powerful and silent. But within your budget it is not viable so i would say the D4 is worth a go at for a decent price.
