Ok I'm looking for a VGA block for a 8800 GT to go in my water cooling setup. I'm not sure if there are any on sale. I've looked at a few stores and found nothing.

If they do exist what do you recommend?

I am looking for a full block. So RAM and GPU cooler.

Thanks a lot

Merry Xmas :)

A little more searching has found:

EK-FC88GT - 8800GT
Koolance VID-278 - 8800GT
BlastFlow Siberian Modular 8800GT

The latter looking pretty poo, but i wouldn't know.

Why do you want a full cover block?

IMO simple gpu blocks are more effective and cheaper along with ramsinks. Also gives greater versatility when changing setups.

That is true, I have two Danger Den Maze 5s at the moment but the ram sinks did my head in. They didn't always stick properly, some kept falling off and it was fiddly as two had to be placed in such a way so they left no clearance between the RAM module and the tubing.

I just thought it would be easier to get a full block. Would the DD Maze 5s fit?

Precisely, worse cooling performance on the core and GDDR3 memory doesn't get hot hence why some people don't even put anything on their memory chips.

Paying more for worse performance seems ludicrous, costs me £2.00 for some new thermal tape each time I upgrade block, or another £10.00 if the MCW60 needs an adapter plate too.

Much better than the £40-£60 you pay with a full cover block that performs worse.

Edit: Not sure about the Maze 5 on the 8800GT, but the ram sinks that Enzotech produce stick fine as well as the MC21's that Swiftech use. People complain about these falling off all the time but mine are on rock solid, people don't clean their chips enough I think. Used some q-tips and some IPA on mine.

I use blue thermaltake ramsinks that I got for very cheap...and they come with Seksui thermal tape on them and they stick very well. The seksui tape is so sticky that I have used the same sinks on 2 different cards...just pulled them off the old one and pressed on the new one and they are sticking fine.

You just have to make sure to clean the surface of the memory modules with isopropyl before trying to apply them to ensure a good fit.

that's great, but being as you're not going to see that unless you have a inverted ATX case that you sit higher than.

It's not so much the cost of changing clocks but the process of having to re-drain a loop every time. This only has to be done if the MCW60 or FuZion needs a plate change.

Pretty sure it will fit now. Last year iI used specially made coolant but ive heard ill get better results with just normal distilled water. My next question is what to i need to put into the water? I know i need some anti algae stuff, anything else? Any recommendations?
