Have a quick look at this, 'cos I'm so tempted to buy it!

Case: Lian Li PC7 SE Black
CPU cooler: NexXxoS XP Rev.2
Mountings AMD XP, AMD 64 and Opteron, Intel 478 and Socket 775
Radiator: NexXxoS Pro II
Fan: 2x Alphacool 120x120x25mm 1200rpm
Pump: AGB Eheim 600 Station 230V
Hose: 10mm
Connections: fittings

Looking at that, would that be an ideal little setup for someone just starting out - it comes pre-installed, and is £223...including the case, which makes me think it might be a bit rubbish!

Whaddya think?

That's the Alphacool Ready2Go unit isn't it?

I had an almost identical system built by a specialist (local to me, but operates nationally) for under £200 and using EK blocks (CPU/NB & GPU), Flow radiators, an XSPC high flow pump, proper barbs and 3/8ths tubing.

He moved the bottom drive cage back in the case for me and I was able to choose my own fans. The cost included removing my existing components from my PC and re-installing everything for me on my motherboard and graphics card to make sure I got a properly tidy install.

A couple of e-mails to a water-cooling specialist will get you a near identical lay-out but with significantly better operation and massively superior installation.

i beleive it is the alphacool R2G one yea!

i take it that hte one above wouldnt be a very good setup then?

any chance you can send me an email with webby address/contact details of the guy who sorted yours please dude?

It's still against Forum rules to ask for competitors and that e-mail address is malformed and would be non-functional anyway even if I wanted to try it. ;)
