Right, well Ive never watercooled before, but I fancy doing it as my next "project" as i have a little spare cash.

Ive looked on google for tutorials/guides and the like without much luck (most of it seemed outdated/image-less). Does anybody know of any good reference sources?

I am only wanting to cool my CPU, and possibly the northbridge if its not going to be too complicated (asus p5k3 board - don't know if the current heatpipe solution will interfere?)

Any recommendations would be appreciated, budget is around £150-£200. Obviously the cheaper the better, but without sacrificing too much performance.

Best bet is mate, on your board not to w/c the NB as then you need extra cooling on the SB and mosfets. Just leave that all alone.

Something like a 120.2 rad will do the CPU

Or add a 120.3 instead and get the cpu done and get a full block on your new GFX card when you upgrade.

Full block? You mean full cover block? If so then its a matter of taste. GPU only blocks work just as well and are cheaper.

ahh how ignorant, sorry i missed that lol :D I presumed it was just BIOS related overclocking info

I shall avoid the Northbridge as for now then  and thanks for the responses :) will let you know how it goes :p

Thought I would revive this thread rather than start a new one. Very simple question I would presume,

Will a 120.3 be much more beneficial over a 120.2 when just cooling the CPU? I was looking at the thermochill rads, and figuring I have more than enough space, so would a 120.3 be worth the extra £20 or so?

I may also incorporate a NB cooler into the loop at a later date.

The 120.3 is severe overkill for just the CPU.

But, if you have the money and the space then go for it.

This is what im thinking, I don't want to spend money for the sake of spending it see.

I think I will buy the 120.3, then at least when I want to expand the system, I know ive got sufficient cooling. I don't want to be left wishing I had bought the 120.3, if I start adding other components into the loop.

Ive just seen theres only a £7 difference, I thought it was more. I guess that makes my decision definitive :D
