As title, need a kit, either complete or all bits separately. To cool my CPU and 8800 GTX.

I want the best colling/£ possible.

You may find weescotts' article helpful and with links http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17598033

The thread will give you an insight.

For quad core cooling i would highly recommend a D-Tek Fuzion cpu bloc . http://www.thetechrepository.com/showthread.php?t=85.

D-Tek Fuzion flows significantly better than any other CPU block giving it a distinct advantage in multi-block loop performance http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=131297

The D-Tek Fuzsion nozzle accelerator kit has just become available as well for this block, included is the quad core core nozzle accelerator

Swifttech vs D-Tek Fuzion http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=1949570&postcount=84

Clear Acrylic blocks i avoid as they are prone to cracking around the barb area.

The radiator most probably recommended by forum members would be probably a ThermoChill PA120.3 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-002-TO&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=193.

Rads with less dense cores such as the Thermochill PA series get away with lower speed / quieter fans For example yate loon. The shroud to accompany this radiator i would also recommend as it eliminates fan dead spots over the rad.

As for hose size/ barbs would be a personal preference either 3/8, or 1/2. There is no difference regarding performance between the two.

As for the pump you could consider a Laing DDC 12v pro water tank (volume 110ml). The res is attached to the pump (110ml). Space saving and removes the need to place a res in a bay or o/s the case.

Regarding tubing i would use Tygon as it is laboratory grade tubing. It is flexible, clear and also kink resistant. Due to its laboratory grade film deposits do not build up and line the inside of the tubing.

Other members will, im sure have further input.

As to your gtx you could either use, EK, Fuzion, Danger Den ect. I personally use the Danger Den as it is a full cover block and allows the use of the PCI slots on both sides of the card. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-004-DD&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=193.

You will find the links in weescotts' guide helpfull with the graphic card blocks helpful as well.

As to fluid i use Feser1 all though there are others on the the market.

Got the following, most of it from a forum member:

Lian LI V1200
Thermochill PA120.2
Laing DDC Ultra 18W with Alphacool Reservoir top
EK Full Cover 8800 GTX Block with Acetal top
2 litres Feser fluid
FuZion CPU Block

Arriving Saturday, can't wait!

Ill spec you custom water cooling but dont know how many of the parts are avalible on ocuk.

Total cost is £227 but it is probably the best possible water cooling setup you can have for gtx and a quad core seens as you will be switching over soon:

Swiftech Apogee GTX Extreme Performance CPU Waterblock (LGA775)

Masterkleer 7/16" ID (5/8" OD) PVC Tubing (get 6ft minimum) - you use 7/19" over 1/2" barbs because it will fit very very tightly and be leak proof as it is.

EK-FC8800 8800 GTX Acrylic - I beleive its the best for the price for cooling GTX as some of the others have had problems. Ive read problems with dangerden ones but i cant remeber it now.

ThermoChill PA120.3 Id suggest putting good fans on this as youll be producing a lot of heat.

Swiftech MCP655-B™ 12 VDC Pump (No speed controller) A good solid pump. Could also use Laing DDC2 12V 18w Pump, but you must pay another 15 quid for a top to put on it. So its more expensive and not really needed.

Swiftech MCRES-Micro A good Reservoir, infact you dont need one at all if you want to use a T junction instead.

£7 has been added to total for fesser one cooling of your choise.

Hope thats helped. With water cooling i dont think you should cut corners as it will only cost you more. Msn is in trust if you want to talk about it.

oopsy lol. Skim read. You got pritty much the same. But i would have thoiught that rad is struggling with all that heat if your q6600 is overclocked.

Fitting a Q6600 on Friday, would you recommend upgrading the rad? Not sure if the 3 will fit in my case though which I wouldn't be keen on. Don't really want an external setup!

I'll see how it goes. It's managing fine atm even though only one of the two 120mm fans on the rad is on (cable not long enough to reach the mobo so I bought a fan controller). Once the other is on I think it'll be better.

Only other fans I have on the case is one 120mm intake for my HDD cage and one 120mm exhaust at the back to get any hot air out that's being produced from the mobo.
