Currently I have the following setup:

Res > CPU > NB > Rad > Res

Recently I saw a setup which had the rad straight after the res, so:

Res > Rad > CPU > NB > Res

Any ideas which is better, I would have thought the first one but maybe im wrong

The res should always be before the pump and as for anything else, it really doesn't make much difference as after a while the water in the loop will have reached its equilibrium temperature.

There is a theory that rad > cpu is slightly better since the cpu is then getting the coldest possible water but whether this would equate to 0.1C in real life is debatable and varies between systems so I wouldn't worried about.

it does not matter what order the components are in (as long as T-Line or Reservoir are right before the pump) as the flow is the same through all components
