I recently changed my motherboard to the Q45 Deluxe from the striker extreme. On the Striker i simply went into the bios and turned off the cpu fan speed warning, but with this i cant even get into the bios before it says cpu fan speed fail or something.

how can i make it not say that. By the way:
  1. The molex to cpu fan header that came with my fan was male not female
  2. there is a fan with a cha connector that came with my Soprano case could i connect that to the cpu fan header and use that as the radiator fan

ok, done that but now it says chassis intruded (well it did before to but i didnt think that was a prob) fatal error, and still cant get in. At the mo im not using the side panel.

U know on side panels at the back there is a bit that sticks out where the panel bends well i cant put the side on becasue the radiator doesnt let it so i will flatten that then get the side on and c.

But will that help

The board won't know that the panel is off unless your case comes with a sensor (and very few do).

I had that error the very first time I booted my P5Q Deluxe, but a quick CMOS reset fixed it and it hasn't happened since.

my p5q has a chassis intrusion jumper.....so i sugest you check your motherboard manual to see where it is.

My case has an alarm. If the case is open then the comonents are disabled. Because it was open it didnt work. I took the micro switch alarm cable out of the motherboard before but forgot to put a jumper in its place. I just tried it with a jumper and voila!
