I'be just installed the new beta on my 7970 and it's running great, so great I've decided to skip 290x and wait for 20nm. What I want to know is, if I watercool my 7970 what sort if clocks might I be looking at... My current overclock is 1200/1700 at 1.181 volts. Stock volts are 1.112 so I think I can go up to 1.25 volts without flashing my bios, memory is on stock volts also.

People with water-cooled 7970s what sort of clocks have you got them running at? I was thinking about getting the EK block, an EK Supreme CPU block and a couple of 240mm rads (1 thin in the top of my case, 1 fat in the bottom) I'm not sure about what pump to get..)

Reckon you've got a very nice clocker there. It should fly on water at plenty over 1300 with some voltage.
Mine needs about 1.238v for 1200, 1.284 for 1250 game stable and about 1.384 for 1300+ benching.

I don't wanna fry the poor thing, I bought it on launch day so it cost a penny, but with every driver update it gets a little faster and I get a bit more attached to it. It like a faithful dog or something I just can't get rid of it while it's running so well.

Don't be afraid of a bit of voltage if it's under water :)

Tbh though, you don't really need more than 1200-1250 for 24/7 stufff. Diminishing returns and all that..
